Summer Programs

Even though summer seems like far away, it's never too early to start thinking! Many summer opportunities have deadlines that are quickly approaching! Check out some of the options below. Some are local, some are statewide, and some provide opportunities to travel to other states.

This summer, CCPS will possibly be offering our Upper Chesapeake Summer Center for the Arts program at Washington College once again. Our residential program for students entering grades 7-12 will offer an exemplary state-wide program in chorus, dance, digital arts, literary arts, orchestra, theatre and visual arts. Summer Centers for Gifted and Talented Students

Youth Educational Services (YES) includes:

• Covered Bridge Theater (Young Peoples Theater Program)
• Kids in Kollege
• Summer Scholars

Delaware Aerospace Educational Foundation

• Aerospace Academies are held at the University of Delaware, and include day camps for younger students (entering grades 1-8), and overnight camps for middle/high school students (entering grades 7-10).

Summer Institute for the Gifted

• Offers residential programs for students in grades 4-11 and day programs for students in grades K-6.

University of Maryland Young Scholars Program

• This program is for high school Juniors and Seniors to get a "taste" of college life, earn 3 college credits in 3 weeks, and explore the University of MD's resources.

University of Virginia Summer Enrichment Program

• Two week long residential program for students entering grades 5-11.
