MISSION: Through an integrated instructional program, Cecil County school library media specialists empower students and staff to master the critical information literacy skills necessary for success in the modern world.

The media specialists in Cecil County belong to a professional organization called the Cecil County Association of School Librarians (CCASL).This organization, formerly known as the Cecil County Educational Media Organization (CCEMO) strives to develop the highest standards in school library media centers throughout the county, to encourage continuing professional growth among its members, to provide support for all library media specialists and staff, and to actively promote the changing role of the media center in Cecil County's total educational program.
